No se puede decir exactamente que sea una compradora compulsiva, pero he de admitir que a la mínima que tengo dinero, acabo en Amazon o en eBay. Si realmente tengo dinero que puedo gastarme, estoy en Amazon comprándome bastantes cosas (antes eran libros pero ahora que tenemos un eBook en casa, apenas veo un libro nuevo llegando al portal) pero últimamente paso mucho tiempo en eBay, buscando las cosas más tontas por el precio más barato y por el coste de envío mínimo (es decir: GRATIS)
Normalmente los vendedores que hacen esto son los chinos. Y creo que es necesario que haga un post al respecto con mis últimos descubrimientos...
I can't say I have issues buying stuff impulsively, but I must admit that as soon as I have some money, I end up checking Amazon or eBay. If I actually have money I can spend, I'm on Amazon buying plenty of things (they used to be books but now that we have an eBook at home, I barely see a new book being delivered to my house) but lately I spend a lot of time on eBay, looking for the silliest things with the cheapest prize and the minimum shipping cost (that means: FREE SHIPPING)
The sellers who usually do that are Chinese. And I think it's necessary that I make a post about what I discovered...
Mi padre hoy me ha dado un paquete que estaba a mi nombre. Lo pedí hace tanto tiempo que no estaba segura de qué era exactamente lo que vendría (ya que este mes creo que se me ha ido un poco la pelota con esto de pedir cosas y estoy esperando como cinco o seis paquetes distintos, y varios de China) y me he alegrado al ver que era un simple estuche que pedí hace más de un mes, que me pareció bastante bonito y que además estaba a punto de pedir otro más.
Lo había visto por todo eBay a unos 3-5$ a lo que yo me negaba a pagar. (¡Vaya robo! ¡Seguro que está más barato!) Ni tan siquiera es una marca reconocida, es sencillamente un estuche bonito. El caso es que lo encontré por algo así como un dólar con algo y sin gastos, así que dije... ¡bueno! ¡Lo cogeré! (¡Como si no tuviese ya suficientes estuches! Creo que eso de que ponía que servía como bolsa de maquillaje — que es cierto — me engañó un poco)
My dad gave me a package today which was for me. I ordered it so long ago that I wasn't sure what was inside (this month I went crazy and I think I'm waiting for like five or six different packages, and some of them from China) and I was happy to see that it was a simple pencil case that I ordered more than a month ago, which looked cute and that I was about to order a second one, too.
I had seen it all over eBay for 3-5$ and I didn't want to pay that. (Say what?! I'm sure they sell it cheaper!) It's not even a renowned brand, it's just a cute pencilcase. The thing is that I found it for one dollar or something + free shipping so I said... well! I'll buy that! (As if I didn't have enough pencilcases! I think that since it said it was also a make up bag — which is true — I was a little bit tricked to buy it!)

Estos son los estuches en cuestión. Me compré el azul, aunque yo me quería comprar el rosa también. Acabé cogiendo el azul sólo para variar y ya si eso me compraría el rosa — además el azul me recuerda mucho a la botella de té verde con miel de Arizona así que lo cogí. Después de decirle al vendedor que no me llegaba ni a la de tres, me ha aparecido hoy de la nada.
These are the pencilcases. I got the blue one, although I also wanted to get the pink one. I ended up buying the blue one just because I always buy pink stuff and maybe I could get the pink one if I was satisfied — plus the blue one looks like the green tea bottle of Arizona tea so I got it. After telling the seller that I still didn't have it, it arrived today!
Y como estudiante de Estudios Ingleses, mis ojos han ardido y han llorado sangre. En realidad no me ha importado mucho, pero al fin y al cabo no es lo que sale en la imagen de eBay.
And as an English Studies student, my eyes burnt and cried blood. Actually, I didn't care much but this is definitely not what the picture on eBay shows.
Esto no es de lo que trata el post, si no lo que me lleva a algo que me ha enseñado Blake hoy, una página web que yo desconocía por completo y de la que me he enamorado totalmente porque no dejo de reírme. Si os gustan las páginas estilo 9GAG, os encantará ENGRISH.
This is not what the post is about, though, but what leads me to the actual topic. Blake showed me today a website I didn't know and I've loved instantly because I can't stop laughing.
Es una página en la que se suben fails de frases escritas en inglés en artículos normalmente chinos o incluso japoneses. Estoy segurísima de que si vais al chino de vuestro barrio os encontráis algo parecido porque yo lo he hecho muchas veces. Me he encontrado perlas, verdaderas perlas, como la que he puesto al principio del post. Voy a compartir aquí las mejores que he encontrado:

I'm sure that if you go to the Chinese shop of your neighbourhood you'll find something like that because I've seen them several times. Creo que con esto ya os deben de entrar las ganas de ver esa página. En realidad no tiene desperdicio y seguro que se convierte en una de esas páginas que miraréis religiosamente cuando estáis estudiando — porque sé que yo lo haré...
