TOP 5: FAVOURITE MOVIES

I had thought about writing this in the future, but since one of my friends and readers, Luisa, has suggested me to write a post about it, maybe it's about time...

Based on my own criterion, which is the same one as any other film fanatic who doesn't have academical knowledge on cinema... that means, the movies I picked are movies I really, really like and that's why I'm sharing them here.

5. SLEEPY HOLLOW (1999)

It's one of my favourite movies and I think it's pretty much underrated. Everytime they screen it on TV, I can't help but go watch it. Plus, I love seeing Johnny playing a fairly normal role and less characterised.

4. THE BLUES BROTHERS (1983)

I will never get tired of adoring this movie. Both actors (Dan Ackroyd & John Belushi) worked at Saturday Night Live at that ime and they created these charaters through sketches. People liked it so much that they ended up releasing this great movie with incredible cameos such as Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and even James Brown. The plot sort of reminds me of The Hangover, because they spend 48-72h trying to get money to save the orphanage where they lived. They spend the whole movie like that, trying to reunite their old band to play and get money. I really recommend it! Specially if you like the music, because the performances are great.

3. THE HANGOVER (2009)

It's my favourite one out of the trilogy (reasonably!) Even though the other ones weren't bad, in my opinion, nothing can be as better as the first one. I tend to watch it everytime I'm sick because for some reason it makes me feel so much better, and since it's so drama-free and it maks me laugh, I forget I feel bad. I love this film. In addition to the fact I'm such a Bradley Cooper fangirl, I love Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helm. Well, I just love this movie and it makes me laugh so hard. I don't care if it's an easy-plot movie, it's brutal!

2. INCEPTION (2010)

No sé. Me encanta.

Seriously. I'm still hurt that in the Oscars® they didn't win the "Best Original Screenplay" award (seriously, how is it possible that The Social Network won that since their script is based on a real story?) It's okay though because Christopher Nolan was extraordinire — at least in my opinion — in this movie. Plus, the cast was superb. (Hello? Leo Di Caprio STILL doesn't have any Oscar, not even after this movie?) It's a movie I think people should watch it at least twice or even three times so they can understand it, but it's still great. I don't know, I love it. (Right nowI feel like watching it and I'm so tempted to do it...)

* Mind you, I'm such a Joseph Gordon-Levitt fangirl.

1. LOVE ACTUALLY (2003)

I KNOW, I'm a bit too obsessed with this movie but I'm not joking when I say that I watch it, at least, ten times per year. But I love it! I think that not even Valentine's Day or that one about New Years Eve can ever be as good as Love Actually. It's obvious that this movie talks about love. Sounds cheesy, but the movie shows aaaaaall kinds of love: dad-son love, brotherly love, unrequited love, love at the wrong time... is there someone that hasn't seen this movie? For real? I think I could spend hours talking about how good this movie is. Furthermore, I love the soundtrack, too. Seriously... watch it in Christmas since the movie happens during that time!

And that's it! I hope you've liked my choices, a little bit weird maybe? I could have chosen more but I've chosen them thinking of how much I love these movies and that I always, always, watch them everytime they're on TV even if there are 5834905435 ads in the middle!
