SO LONG, JONAS BROTHERS

Me han gustado bandas de música a lo largo de mis veinte inviernos de vida y cantantes que me han marcado, pero he de admitir que nadie me había dado tanto como lo hicieron los Jonas Brothers. Suena muy estúpido, tal vez, pero tal vez cuando me explique podréis entenderlo mejor.

Escribo este post un día después de saber que los Jonas Brothers han anunciado su separación unánime después de una polémica cancelación del tour a principios de mes y saber que mientras ellos cierran un capítulo, yo también cierro mi etapa más adolescente con ellos... y me entristece.

I've liked so many music bands in my twenty winters and singers that have made an impact on me, but I must admit that nobody gave me as much as the Jonas Brothers did. It sounds stupid, maybe, but hopefully when I explain the reasons why you may understand me better.

I write this post a day after the Jonas Brothers announce their unanimous split after a controversial tour cancelation at the beginning of the month and know that, while they close a chapter, I close one too... and it saddens me.

FACEBOOK DRAMA

Coged asiento. Palomitas. Algo de beber. No sé, lo que queráis. Si hay algo que me gusta mucho es ver el drama que se puede originar el facebook por chorradas. Si bien es cierto, también se ha originado por cosas bastante serias...

Y yo digo, ¿no es mejor hablar las cosas cara a cara que poner posts polémicos o comentarios que pueden tener un doble filo? Al fin y al cabo ya no somos críos. De todos modos, en estos casos yo soy la que se sienta detrás de la pantalla del ordenador y se ríe. Y mucho, a decir verdad.

En internet podéis encontrar maravillas sobre esta clase de cosas y os las voy a enseñar para ver si la conciencia de muchos hace un *click* y decide apagar ordenadores y llamar a la gente si hay que hablar de estas cosas...

... o sencillamente les hace ver que se están comportando como unos auténticos gilipollas.

Take a seat. Popcorns. Something to drink. I don't know, whatever you want. If there's something I really enjoy reading is the drama that can be easily originated on facebook because of nonsenses. Truth be told, though, some drama were really serious.

And I mean, isn't it better to talk things face to face than writing controvrsial posts or comments that can be misread easily? At the end of the day we aren't kids anymore. Anyway, in these cases, I'm the one who sits behind the computer screen and laughs. And I laugh a lot, to be honest.

On the Internet you can find wonderful posts on these things and I'm going to show them to you so maybe some people's consciousness *clicks* and they decide to turn off computers and call people if they want to talk about things...

... or it simply helps them to see that they're behaving like real assholes.

Keeping up with... me (again)

He estado un poco desaparecida y he tenido el blog desactualizado. No tengo excusa ya que tengo bastantes posts en borradores pero... en fin, no sé, no me he sentado a escribir uno de verdad. Vuelvo a decir que no es que haya hecho mucho, la universidad tampoco me roba mucho tiempo que digamos, pero hay veces que me gusta, sin más, desaparecer y dedicarme a hacer cosas. Y os las voy a enseñar.

I've been a bit out of this blog and I've had it a little bit abandoned, I know, and I have no excuse since I have plenty of posts written in drafts but... I don't know, I hadn't sat down to write one and keep up with the ones I had in my drafts. It's not like I've been super busy, uni doesn't steal my time, but sometimes I enjoy disappearing from blogs and such to focus on more things I like and do them. I'm going to show you know what I've been doing for the past two weeks.

Últimamente posteo con menos frecuencia y la verdad es que he estado distraída con otras cosas así que este repaso semanal será un poco extraño... prometo volver con TOPs y nuevos posts pronto!

Oh, CHINA!

No se puede decir exactamente que sea una compradora compulsiva, pero he de admitir que a la mínima que tengo dinero, acabo en Amazon o en eBay. Si realmente tengo dinero que puedo gastarme, estoy en Amazon comprándome bastantes cosas (antes eran libros pero ahora que tenemos un eBook en casa, apenas veo un libro nuevo llegando al portal) pero últimamente paso mucho tiempo en eBay, buscando las cosas más tontas por el precio más barato y por el coste de envío mínimo (es decir: GRATIS)

Normalmente los vendedores que hacen esto son los chinos. Y creo que es necesario que haga un post al respecto con mis últimos descubrimientos...

I can't say I have issues buying stuff impulsively, but I must admit that as soon as I have some money, I end up checking Amazon or eBay. If I actually have money I can spend, I'm on Amazon buying plenty of things (they used to be books but now that we have an eBook at home, I barely see a new book being delivered to my house) but lately I spend a lot of time on eBay, looking for the silliest things with the cheapest prize and the minimum shipping cost (that means: FREE SHIPPING)

The sellers who usually do that are Chinese. And I think it's necessary that I make a post about what I discovered...

Esta semana terminó Breaking Bad y con ello mi vida... no, bueno, tampoco tanto, pero en serio que ahora no sé qué hacer con mi vida. Aún así, he visto y escuchado cosas bastante interesantes esta semana y aquí voy a compartirlas. ¡Feliz viernes!

Breaking Bad ended forever this week and also did my life... well, maybe not that, but seriously I have no idea what to do with my life. However, I've watched and listened to plenty of cool things this week so I'm going to share them! Happy friday!

I had thought about writing this in the future, but since one of my friends and readers, Luisa, has suggested me to write a post about it, maybe it's about time...

Estos días he escrito poco en el blog porque he estado bastante ajetreada. Estuve dos días por Alcudia con unos amigos daneses y luego bajamos a Palma para pasar el día... y sí, estoy bastante, bastaaaaante cansada. Sin embargo, creo que os podéis imaginar de qué voy a hablar durante un buen rato en este post... (como recordaréis, es un repaso semanal de las cosas que más me han gustado de la semana en cualquier ámbito)

These days I haven't written much in the blog because I've been quite busy. I spent two days and a night in Alcudia with some Danish friends and then we went to Palma to spend the day... and yes, I'm pretty, preeeeeeeeeetty tired. However, I think you can imagine what I'm going to talk about for a while in this post... (as you may remember, it's some sort of summary of the things I've enjoyed this week in any aspect - music, film, etc)

Es mi último fin de semana de vacaciones antes de empezar el curso. ¿No se os ha pasado el verano algo así como en un suspiro? Siento que no he hecho nada en estos tres meses, pero luego miro hacia atrás y digo... bueno, tal vez sí que lo hice! 

He decidido (ya que este blog está creciendo poquito a poco y cada día hago cambios y miro otros blogs para hacer aún más cambios) hacer un post temático semanal. Así como puedo hacer 'tops' de cosas, creo que un post semanal dedicado a algo puede ser genial.

This is my last weekend enjoying holidays before I start uni. Is it me or Summer has gone way too quickly? I feel like I haven't done anything in these three months, but then I look back and say... well, maybe I did something!

I've decided (since this blog is slowly growing step by step and everyday I make changes and then I check other blogs to make more changes) to write a weekly post. I can write about top 5s and stuff but I think that a weekly post dedicated to something can be something great.

TOP 5: Favourites of the Summer

Creo que ya que estamos a mediados de Septiembre, podemos decir que el verano se ha acabado... (ohhhhhhhhhh) pero por eso he escogido hacer un TOP 5 de mis cosas favoritas de este verano hasta día de hoy. Es decir, cosas que he disfrutado haciendo y/o utilizando. Ready or not, here I come!

I think that now that we're in the middle of September, we can say that Summer is over... (ohhhhh!) but that's why I chose to write a TOP 5 of my favourite things from this Summer until today. That means, the things I've enjoyed doing or using. Ready or not, here I come!

Me encantan los TAGS y creo que un blog debería tener bastantes. He encontrado este que me ha parecido bastante interesante y un tanto irónico, pero definitivamente me definirá como una common white girl. Espero que os entretenga tanto como a mí me ha entretenido hacerlo.

I love TAGS and I think a blog should have plenty of those. I have found this one that I've thought it was quite interesting and slightly ironic, but it will definitely define me as a common white girl. I hope it entertains you as much as I've felt entertained by doing it.

Hace justo un año estaba subiendo a la habitación del hotel HUSA Princesa en Madrid para tomarme un respiro, beber agua y descansar hasta que la banda saliese a la calle para firmar CDs y hablar con los fans. A día de hoy sigo sin creerme del todo que esto haya sucedido y recuerdo con muchísimo cariño ese día con mis dos mejores amigos. Y sí, eso es de lo que voy a hablar hoy.

Last year I was going to my room in the HUSA Princesa hotel in Madrid to take a break, drink water and rest until the band came out of the venue to sign CDs and talk to the fans. Today I still can't believe all that happened and I remember that day with my two best friends with so much warmth in my heart. And yes, that's what I'm going to talk about today.
